First off I just want to say that my experience at Boyett's was one of the worse five business experiences of my life.
Went to get a tire fixed at the tire side of the business at 5:15 pm said they were closed but come back before 5 tomorrow. So came back at 4:30 next day and after talking to 3 people found that all three weren't interested in our business. Ended up at Holton tire and was well satisfied.
My Opinion/Recommendation: Never step foot on this property. This company is extremely unprofessional and does not deserve your money or business. It's ran and operated by self centered thieves with no regard for what is right. They don't care one single bit about you or your well being. Save yourself the heartache and go to ICE, go to Holton Tire, go anywhere else but here.
The Air Conditioning: Two days after I bought my car the air conditioning went out. So I dragged myself back there to get it fixed (free of cost, under warranty). When I got there, there was no one in the offices and I think one mechanic in the shop. After thirty minutes of waiting I started to literally yell at the top of my lungs, "HELLO?! IVE BEEN HERE THIRTY MINUTES AND COULD USE SOME HELP!!!" I did that two or three times and 20 minutes after that guess who showed up? Not Boyett. Hah. It was his assistant again. What should have taken 45 minutes, one hour tops, took over two hours and they didn't even fix the problem. Two days later and it didn't work again. I kept going back till the end of my warranty demanding that they either fix or replace my air conditioner, but they never did. They just kept filling it with free-on or whatever that stuff is called, prolonging the problem until my warranty ran out. It was obviously broken when I bought it and it should have been handled by them. After my warranty was over I took it to ICE (Ireland's Custom Exhaust) and he fixed it first try.
Great experience. I was traveling from Texas to Chicago. My grandparents were renewing their vows after 71 year. Had to stop by Iowa when my truck staring making metal noises. Down The street for this shop. It was late in the afternoon went in there talk to David told him my situation and he pull my truck in and inspected and gave me the bad news. My transfer case had gone out. He got me up and running no question. Never got a it's late or we are about to go home. Ended leaving my truck with him and he work through the weekend to get it running. Communicated with me the hole time on parts availability and issues that came up. Over all, Great service from Dave.
The Sale: From the day I test drove my car to the day I bought it (about a week and a half's time), the guy who runs this place was never there once. I had to deal with his assistant who had to call him every time I had a question, sometimes with no answer. We even had to negotiate over the phone. Side note, the car was overpriced by about $1,000. There were scratches on nearly every body panel, dents, the upholstery was stained in places and falling off of the ceiling due to sun damage. So I figured offering $750 under the tag would be reasonable. When I offered that, he responded with this extremely offensive remark, "What kind of offer is that? Quit trying to Jew me." When all was said and done I paid the sticker price and barely got a warranty out of him (1,000 miles/1 month). Thanks to CarFax I later discovered that my car got completely serviced (oil change, new battery, new wipers) right before he bought it, but when he brought it back he drained the oil and refilled it (not even all the way) with old, he took the new battery and replaced it with one from 2012, and he even put old wipers on it.
